Imams in Kampala City have applauded services of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director Jennifer Musisi, and her team in the development of the city.

The Muslim community while receiving gifts to mark the end of the Ramandhan season at the different City mosques, Imams praised Musisi and her team for bring about development in the infrastructure, roads, schools and health centres.

Sheik Jamirulu Muwonge of Bukoto mosque while receiving assortments for 66 Imams of Kawempe division said that Musisi has played a big role in the development of the city saying that this is the time when they (Muslims), should support her and other KCCA officials.

Imam of Kawempe mosque, Sheik Ismeal Keezaala requested the team which was led by was led by Kultuma Muzata and councilors that they need to meet KCCA leaders and air out more of their problems as Muslims of Kampala to Musisi. Eid ul fitr marks the end of fasting and the Ramadhan season.

At the Kawempe division the Imams called on other organizations to emulate KCCA by giving back to the communities citing that imams as Mosque leaders are not given any salary but depend on hand outs from the community.

Kawempe division councilor Madiah Nsereko asked the Muslim community to continue supporting KCCA development programmes.

KCCA gave out assortments worth sh.40m to 297 imams from the five divisions of Kampala.
