A mother had to rush her toddler to hospital after he drank waragi (local gin) on Christmas Day.

The woman, only identified as Mabel, said she put a mixture of soda and waragi into the baby’s feeding bottle while he was asleep.
She then went out to the shops to buy drinks for her guests. When the baby woke up he got the bottle and begun drinking.
Soon, the baby collapsed and the mother was called. Residents thought the baby had been poisoned but the mother told them what she had put in the bottle.
