Sam Kutesa forgets sh4m in laundry

You have probably left sh2,000 in a shirt or pair of trousers you have set aside to be washed by a maid. We all do.

You have probably left sh2,000 in a shirt or pair of trousers you have set aside to be washed by a maid. We all do.

But for businessman and foreign affairs minister Sam Kutesa, that amount was sh4m, in brand new 50k notes.

He recently left the money in his trouser pockets at his Akii Bua Road House in Nakasero.

The houseboy who was given the laundry was stunned.

Thinking it was a trap or certainly something the master of the house would remember in a flash, he returned the money to the lady of the house.

To his surprise, neither she nor husband had any idea where the money was from.

And, snoops say, this is hardly the first time this has happened.
