However, since many friends and family members missed out on the function, Joel Martin Masiko Kanyeihamba, the son of Hon. Justice Dr. George W. Kanyeihamba and Katherine Karungi Kateera, daughter of the late Jonathan Kateera, decided to fly home and have their union blessed.
The ceremony was held recently at Kampala Golf Course Hotel poolside and conducted by the Rt. Rev. George Katwesigye, the Bishop of North Kigezi.
Thereafter, there was a sumptuous dinner at the hotel banquet hall. Former ethics minister Tim Lwanga was master of ceremonies.
Joel is an IT consultant at Heath Hospital, UK. Katherine, formerly a banker with Standard Chartered Bank in Kampala, recently got an MBA at Cardiff University.
The do attracted prominent dignitaries and personalities, including Chief Justice, Benjamin Odoki, Jim and Susan Muhwezi, Prof. Mondo Kagonyera, among others.
