THE Prince of Wales is to make a second visit to Uganda to attend a three-day water meeting starting March 15 at the Commonwealth Resort Hotel Munyonyo in Kampala.

According to Dr. William Muhairwe, the director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Prince Charles is among the main speakers expected at the African International Water Congress and Exhibition.

Prince Charles was in the country two years ago during the Commonwealth summit.

The prince is a trustee to many worldwide charities addressing social challenges and environmental conservation.

Muhairwe said the meeting will discuss climate change, water and energy and will provide an opportunity for policy makers to engage operators of water utilities across Africa.

“We will be discussing how climate change and energy affect the delivery of water,” Muhairwe said.

He said climate change was also reducing the water level of Lake Victoria.
