OUTSPOKEN football administrator Kavuma Kabenge has stretched his domain to boxing. The Express FC supreme was on Wednesday named interim president of a new professional boxing body Uganda Boxing Union.

Kabenge heads a team of prominent Kampala personalities whose immediate task is to affiliate the body to international bodies like WBA, IBF or IBO. UBU will soon formerly elect an executive.

NRM national treasurer Singh Katongole, John Mutenda, Emmanuel Mwesigwa, William Kajoba, Gideon Kabanda, Milli Ismael, Edwin Ssemanda, Amman Assimwe and Salim Omondi are the other committee members. Uganda now has two prize fighting sanctioning bodies.

The other one Uganda Professional Boxing Commission is specifically affiliated to the World Boxing Council.
