THE Police have arrested five people over the destruction of a perimetre wall at a beach owned by local artiste Daniel Kasirye aka Ragga Dee.

The suspects allegedly also stole music equipment worth sh15m at the beach in Busabala, a Kampala suburb. They will be charged with malicious damage to property and theft.

The Police identified the suspects as Stanley Kasule, Eddy Walakira, Musisi Ssensamba, Shepherd Ssentamu and Sharif Kirema.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Henry Kalulu said the men were found in possession of hammers and axes, which they could have used to destroy the wall.

“Ragga Dee said the 400 perimetre wall cost him sh40m to construct,” Kalulu said.

The suspects alleged that they were sent by Ragga Dee’s unidentified neighbour.

Kalulu attributed the incident to a land dispute between the artiste and his neighbour.
