British singer saddened by Ugandan hospital

Kimberley Walsh, a singer with British all-girl pop group, Girls Aloud, who was in Uganda recently, told UK Magazine Now, of how she broke down during a visit to a maternity ward in Uganda.

The 28-year-old, said: “You see things in the press and on TV, but none of that prepares you for the shocking reality.†While at the maternity ward in Hoima Hospital, she was told about a woman who was pregnant and had malaria. She arrived at the hospital too late and died with her unborn baby.
Walsh said she was “overwhelmed†by the story and had to rush out of the hospital to compose herself.
