What do you particularly love about Nakimera’s music?
SHE has a unique voice and her music portrays what happens in everyday life. Her song Kawonawo reminds me of so many things.

When did you discover her music?
Her first song; Ani Akumanyi, was a big hit but she did not take singing seriously. She returned after two years with Anfukula and she has never disappointed me.

What was it like to hang out with her?
It felt good because I have never been close to a celebrity. She gave me a killer hug; I was timid but she was so easy hugging me.

Has your impression of her changed?
I thought she had an ego and celebrity swagger, but I found her different. She does not brag or praise her work.

How do you describe her now?
Amiable, down-to-earth and talkative. I noticed she likes classy things; she changed the venue we first went to and opted for a superb Mexican Restaurant and bar.

Who dominated the conversation?
Honestly, I was speechless. She dominated the conversation.
What did you like most about her?
She is African; she does not use too much make up even when she has a mzungu husband. She maintains her natural beauty.

What mannerism did you notice her?
I did not take note of that, but I think she laughed a lot.

What did you notice she cannot do without?
Her daughter is her priority.

Did you notice any weakness in her?
She is emotional, short tempered. She does not want to be bothered. But she has calculated self control.
