What are the lights for?

UGANDA is an amazing country. Government spends millions of shillings fixing traffic lights and then disregards them, assigning their role to Police officers!

Surely, why should human beings spend the whole day waving on cars and waving down at the traffic lights near the Electoral Commission offices when the lights have not failed? These lights have, surprisingly, been reliable since they were installed.

But they are often disregarded and the traffic Police take over their duties! If the lights are not distributing the traffic according to the desired flow, can’t Afande Kale Kayihura approach some department of IT at a university to modify them?

They could be given various operating modules; one for morning, one for day and the other for evening according to the needs on each road. Bwana Kayihura, work smarter, not harder.
