RIVALS SC Villa and Express lock horns at Namboole in a match that could define the destiny of the 2003 league championship.
Villa’s dazzling procession to 39 points has bewildered opponents and only Express can dent their rival’s splendid run.
A win for the Red Eagles opens the title race but maximum points for Villa will leave the champions with one arm on the trophy.
Clashes between the country’s top two soccer sides are never short on tension and drama, and thousands of fans expect a titans’ duel.
The Jogoos have dominated the Red Eagles in the past three years.
The Red Eagles have not taken maximum points from Villa in three years although they beat their rivals in the 2001 Kakungulu Cup final.
Express’ ineffectual display against Game Boys that followed continental exit, must be rectified fast by technical director Jan Fray.
With the exception of Baby Matiyabo (left) and the incomparable Bana Zidane, none of the other Express players is showing justification for wearing the red shirt. The team seems to have failed to get a substitute for off colour goalkeeper Salim Magoola.

A win is a must today if Express are to deny Villa a stroll to a record 15th title.

The ref:
EXPERIENCED FIFA referee Arthur Bukenya will be the man in the centre at today’s Nile Special Super League clash between Baby Matiyabo’s (left) Express and SC Villa, reports Norman Katende. The no nonsense referee who has built a reputation for calmness, will be assisted by FIFA assistant referee Ali Tomusange and Fred Wanyama
