BUSIA — To ensure full enjoyment of all human rights, our children need adequate health care facilities. services should also be brought nearer to them and their families. This was said by Sam Bitangaro, the Minster of State for Gender ad Culture at a function to mark the Day of the African Child in Busia on Monday. “The government has prioritised and will continue to channel resources into the health sector, so that our children are immunised against the killer diseases, Bitangaro emphasised. Government, he said, had also made progress in the area of combating the spread of HIV/AIDS, and had put in place policies to promote the rights of children in this regard, he told his audience.
