THE basketball fraternity in Uganda will have to wait another one month before they can witness the first- ever MTN FUBA organised basketball All -star event. The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations’ (FUBA) general secretary Peninah Kabenge confirmed that the action- packed event had been moved to August 3, at the YMCA courts.

BUGANDA Kingdom County Sports Committee has blocked super division club players in participating in the revived Buganda county football competitions. An official, Joel Ssekabembe, said that the decision was to keep purpose of the competition to tap fresh talents.

NORWEGIAN National shooting sport coach Christian Holstad Lilleng has started a ten-day level two training course for shooters in Uganda. The course is organised by Uganda Olympic committee, International Olympic Committee and is held at Garuga, Kibuli Police Training school and Kigo prisons. Holstad has guided his country to world title four times.

GAMES
AUSTRALIA continent won a bull after lifting the inter house sports and games competition for Kako SSS in Masaka district. Australia pulled 774 points, Africa was runner up with 743, and Europe and Africa came third and fourth respectively in games characterised by fainting. Asia came last.
