Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has started a campaign to bar under age people from consuming their products

Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has started a campaign to bar under age people from consuming their products, writes Vision Reporter.

The campaign was launched during the recently concluded Uganda Manufacturers Association trade fair in which the brewery had an age limit notice ‘BEER NOT SOLD TO UNDER 18s’ displayed at entrances to its stall and bar.

“This is a good start to making sure that those who interact with our brands are of age and thus can drink responsibly,” said Winston Agaba, the UBL public relations manager.

“This is the beginning of a series of awareness campaigns that UBL is putting in place,” he added.

He said other measures to be instituted include bar staff training courses to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills in ensuring that only adults were served beer and spirits in reasonable limits.
