On September 12, Kizimula 23, a phone attendant in Wandegeya who was rudely grabbed from his workplace by his father, bundled onto a pick-up and driven to Nyendo in Masaka.
In what appeared like a kidnap, Kizimula was grabbed in one swoop by two huge men, who put him at the back of the truck and drove off.
Kizimula, a social science student refused to go home after finishing his examinations at Makerere University in July. Instead, he saved money and bought a phone, which he started hiring out for some little money.
Pleas from his parents to go home fell on deaf ears even when his father, a medical doctor, had got him a job in Masaka district administration.
