DEHEZI International, a Ugandan information and technology (IT) company, has won the Worldwide Marketing Organisations’ (WMO) Golden medal award for quality and service.

The award and a certificate of authenticity which were competed for by East African IT companies, were recently handed over to the company’s chief executive officer Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi by the WMO president Fernando Zarate Uranga at a function held in Beunos Aires, Argentina.

Kiyingi said the company was chosen by the international selection committee of the WMO in collaboration with prestigious marketing, communication and culture professionals from America and Europe.

“This recognition is granted every year to companies of professionals that have achieved an outstanding performance due to the quality of their services and products. It is aimed at stimulating the growth of companies that have- in spite of the difficulties of the world economic order- maintained high levels of quality,” he said at a press conference held at his offices on Monday.

This year the organisers put emphasis on IT firms that have initiated programmes for development such as the Dehezi credit scheme for over 50 institutions.
