THE Makerere University Guild office has called for the introduction of a graduation audit process and speedy processing of transcripts to fight forgeries.

The guild information minister, Onesmus Twinamasiko, said the university should roll out the globally accepted graduation audit process, a standard yardstick for graduations in many international universities.

The guild attacked the university administration for failing to streamline the transcript processing system and delaying to release transcripts. The delay to give out transcripts has escalated forgeries as graduands are in the search of employment and scholarships for further studies.
