Why did you leave out Namagunga, Kisubi?

EDITOR—This is a reaction to your Saturday Vision lead story listing the best performing schools in the 2008 UACE exams.
I am still wondering why your list missed the likes of St Mary’s College Kisubi, Namagunga and Namilyango. How could such giant schools fail to appear on your best schools list? Well, you may argue that by the time you compiled the list, you had not yet received the results of those schools. But then, why the hurry? Is there anything sinister in this? Whereas we commend you for always coming up with such wonderful innovations, we always expect nothing, but the best out of The New Vision. Yours is such a reputable and respected newspaper we always trust and depend on. We demand an apology.

Editor’s comment: UNEB does not release detailed results to the press. There was not enough time to gather all the results for our first edition, but our late edition on that day had those particular schools.
