Many untrained riders end up spilling litres of blood on our roads. Granted, they may be eking out a living but should this come at a cost of human lives?

The Police should confiscate all motorcycles ridden by unlicensed riders and those in a dangerous mechanical condition.

A law should be put in place to auction these motorcycles and bank the proceeds on the consolidated fund account. Kampala City Council should recreate trade order.

It is strange that despite contributing a significant amount of litter on the streets, boda-boda cyclists don’t remit a penny to KCC’s tax coffers!

KCC should ensure that all boda-bodas operating in the city are properly labelled.

This will help accident victims identify the culprits. Currently, riders go scot- free after causing tragic accidents!

Afriend of mine passed away last week thanks to a hit and run boda-boda cyclist!
