Aminah Nabukenya, P.7, Eastland Junior School, Kazo
I love receiving a report card, especially when I have performed well. I can even show my friends if the teachers have praised me. But sometimes when a teacher says that a pupil plays in class, his parents could beat him.

Fatuma Nalwanga, P.7, Makerere University Primary School
I am always anxious when getting my report card because I would not be sure if I performed well or not.

Rogers Luyima, P.5, Bwaise Junior School
I love the report card because I give it to my parent to see my performance. It also enables them know what I need to take to school for next term. But sometimes teachers write comments which annoy parents, for instance, they could say that a pupil talks during classes or that one is not attentive in class.

Rashid Saddam, P.6, Nakasero Primary School
A report card shows that one has been attending school. One can use it to change schools. It also shows one’s peformance in class. Someone can also know who the best pupil is and get advice from him.

Juliet Kobusingye, P.7, Nakasero Primary School
Report cards give us positions which are bad. This is discouraging. It is better if they just give us grades like Division One or Two without indicating one’s position out of the total number of pupils in a class.
