FOR the fourth and final time, US Ambassador Steven Browning hosted a memorable United States Independence anniversary celebrations dinner at his residence in Kololo.

The US is now 233 years old and growing strong, says Ambassador Browning.

To celebrate, guests turned up in droves, packing Ambassador Browning’s lawn to capacity.

The sky was clear, as beautiful music filled the surrounding and the tantalising aroma of nyama choma floated in the air.

And yes, the finest wines flowed freely. The ambience was just right for Browning to say farewell.

“My wife Susan and I welcome you to our home and to this very happy celebration. We are honoured to have you here today.

“I want to say we have enjoyed Uganda more than any country where we have represented the US. You have such a beautiful country,” he said.

Ambassador Browning will be taking on a new role in Washington DC, where he says he will be glad to serve President Barack Obama.
