EDITOR—I have been vindicated by the recent ‘rebel’ saga in northern Uganda. At the height of the Juba talks, on this very same page, my argument was that for talks to progress and real peace to return to the long-suffering Ugandans in the north, the ICC had to indict the real authors, planners, financiers, directors and owners of the insurgency.

And these are neither Kony nor any of his lieutenants, dead and alive. The owners of the insurgency have been exposed. At that time, their visible face was the globe-trotting shameless mercenary, David Matsanga, a Mugisu who took on a Luo name
(Nyekorach) to identify with the ‘Northern Struggle’.

Now his true bosses and their truest colours have been unmasked. Mr Ocampo, your task has been eased: and to give you a starting point, whereas Dr Henry Obonyo (alias Don King) and his ilk have settled in western capitals, where their children have the best that the west offers, back in Gulu, the Ugandans Obonyo and his gang are ‘fighting to liberate’ have had an entire generation lost due to this senseless war.
