SC VILLA have moved and signed former Nalubaale’s Nigerian import Jonathan Aigbe and Hood Mayanja as they prepare for the CAF Confederation Cup action next season.

The club will represent the country in continental action after lifting the Kakungulu Cup. Uganda Super League champions URA FC will also compete in next year’s MTN/CAF Champions League.

The signing of the duo, together with former Mbarara FC player Ezra Mujaasi and Victors’ Simon Sserunkuma follows a three-week trial at Villa Park, overseen by coach Sula Kato and the club’s technical team.

“They still lack some basics but if polished, they will be the players to reckon with,” said Kato.

Villa also landed Old Kampala SS player Edrisa Sekisambu, Entebbe United’s Umar Kasirye, Horizon’s Kipson Atuhairwe and Ndejje University’s Godfrey Nsubuga.

It will be from these faces that Villa will fill the gap left by the departure of Emmanuel Okwi (bottom left) and Steven Bengo to Tanzanian outfits Simba and Yanga FC respectively.

The Jogoos start training for next season today at Villa Park.
