President Yoweri Museveni has paid tribute to the late Nnalinya Catherine Nkiinzi, a Buganda royal, describing her as a “good friend.”

President Yoweri Museveni has paid tribute to the late Nnalinya Catherine Nkiinzi, a Buganda royal, describing her as a “good friend.”

Speaking during a requiem service at St. Andrews Churh, Kasubi on Thursday, Museveni expressed his profound sorrow at her death

“On his behalf and that of the Government of Uganda, Museveni extends his condolences to the family and relatives of Nnalinya Nkiinzi,” said a statement issued from State House.

The President urged the people of Uganda to start keeping autobiographies of people like Nkiinzi, so that future generations can read about them and appreciate their contribution to society.

He added that her legacy would never be forgotten because her children were her heritage and future.

Nkiinzi passed away on August 3 at the age of 89. She is survived by a son and several grandchildren.

She was described as a selfless person who loved children.

Nkiinzi was also a strong supporter of schools and churches including Bunamwaya Church of Uganda and Primary School, Aggrey Memorial School and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
