Dear Doctor,
I have been sick for a very long time. I regularly have headaches and stomach pains. My stomach sometimes swells like I have eaten a lot. I get backaches, a burning sensation in the chest, joint pains and body weakness. I have been in this condition for 8years.

Dear Doreen,
The symptoms described are diverse and could be a result of various medical conditions. You did not mention whether you have visited a doctor.

This would be a wise thing to do as a comprehensive medical examination could reveal the primary source of the problem. In the absence of any medical explanation such symptoms could be explained by a chronic condition known as fibromyalgia.

The condition is related to stress, psychological and emotional problems. You need to relax as well as exercise regularly.

Seek counselling as well as behavioural and psychological therapy. Medications may be used to relieve some symptoms. Get help from a well qualified health worker. Start living your life more responsibly.
