MBARARA -The district local government will soon recruit over 50 teachers in an attempt to improve education standards in the district. Education officer Edward Mbabazi told The New Vision on Saturday that the district was facing shortage of primary teachers. Mbabazi added that the district planned to promote 67 long serving teachers from education assistant to senior education assistant.

Man killed, boss jailed
NTUNGAMO-The Rwashamaire Police is holding a business man identified only as Turyaheebwa for reportedly having knowledge about the murder of his employee, Charles Rwabugarame, who was hacked to death by unknown thugs at night. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the Police discovered the body lying in a pool of blood in his house. Rwabugarame was working as a casual labourer at Turyaheebwa’s home for almost a year. He was from Kahihi Village, Nyakiyiga, Kabira Ruhinda in Bushenyi district. Turyaheebwa is a resident of Runoni, Rukanga, Nyabihoko- Kajara in Ntungamo district where Rwabugarame was working.
