EDITOR—Watching the handover of power in America with former leaders, opposition members, and people of all walks of life present, made me wonder when Africa will catch up!

We have leaders constantly breaking their promises to retire and hand over, pretending they still have something to do when they are destroying the institutions that should improve their countries.
Our biggest problem is the snivelling, lying flatterers who insist on convincing these leaders that they are indispensable. I think presidential term limits are essential.
