Why is Budo given so much attention?

EDITOR—It is very telling to hear that a Budo Junior classroom block is unfit for habitation! Why are people more concerned about the fate of children in one school forgetting that there are many other children in other schools occupying buildings that are far from habitable? Some pupils go to schools where they are taught under trees! What this country needs is overhauling of the entire education system because it is curiously misguided. Recently, I was not amused when I read about education ministry officials claiming ignorance about the UNICEF so-called adolescent toolkit. What are they being paid for if they don’t know such salient issues? Almost all the originally powerful schools in this country have gone to the dogs, thanks to the unscrupulous officials in high places. These schools have been intentionally ‘killed’ so as to discredit them in order to pave way for enriching the already rich via private schools!

The once cherished nation is doomed!
