FINE, we were all happy, no, exhilarated, by our win over Niger. Cranes players, who mauled their tiny West African opponents 3-1, can not be blamed for celebrating too much, but one of them took it a bit too far.

FINE, we were all happy, no, exhilarated, by our win over Niger. Cranes players, who mauled their tiny West African opponents 3-1, can not be blamed for celebrating too much, but one of them took it a bit too far.

Dan Wagaluka, best known for running rings round celebrated Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo, pulled another surprise shortly after the Niger game. During the after-party hosted by MTN at Namboole Hall, Wagaluka opened his gift pack, reached for a thermos flask, emptied a bottle of cold beer into it and then gulped the liquor to the amusement of fellow players, coaching staff and hosts.

Only recently Wagaluka was in trouble with his sweetheart Shamim Nakalema, with whom he has two children, for telling the Press that he was a virgin. Is the prized player becoming the Cranes’ naughty boy?
