AFTER 10 years of great ballads from “the station where your car radio stops (FM 90)â€, Radio One fans will stand to win a Toyota Platz today at Club Cascades.
The station is giving out the car that is not as old as it may seem, considering that it is from a bond warehouse with taxes fully paid. Fans also stand to win five home theatre systems and 12 hi-fi systems.
For two weeks, listeners have been trying to answer five questions, including what Radio One’s slogan at the beginning was, the first song played, the original line-up and the day of the week the station started.
Although the actual anniversary was on September 11, management pushed it ahead because of the numerous entries from which lucky winners will be rewarded.
The station also prides itself in initiating talk shows; Spectrum, Ekimeeza and Locker Room.
