KAMPALA
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has sent a consolation letter to the Teso cultural leader, Emorimor Augustine Lemukol Osuban, over the floods which have ravaged property and crops in the area. “During this trying time, we commiserate with your Highness and all people of Teso and assure you and all your subjects of our sympathy and support. Please accept your Highness our high regards,” the Kabaka wrote. Teso region comprises the districts of Soroti, Katakwi, Amuria, Kaberamaido and Kumi, which have been worst hit by floods in the last two months.

DISO office attacked
BUSIA

Ramathan Agajebe, an army deserter, is suspected to have broken into the district internal security officer’s (DISO) premises last week. Herbert Baingana was out of his office when the incident occurred. The motive of the mentally imbalanced Agajebe, who shattered three doors and scattered documents, was not known but he claimed he was revenging for wrongs Baingana inflicted on him. He was arrested by 10 policemen and detained at the central Police station.
