Presidential jet is not Museveni’s personal property

It is common knowledge that all properties acquired with state funds belong to all the citizens of that country although not all the citizens may be entitled to use them at the same time.

When Museveni leaves office in 2011, the plane will remain behind because it is not his personal property. Secondly, the money required for the purchase of the jet cannot solve all of the country’s most pressing needs.

If it was enough to end the LRA rebellion or reduce poverty levels by 5%, perhaps Asiimwe would have a point.
I therefore do not find any fault in the President’s request for a faster plane that will guarantee his security.

Who would be happy to have their president attacked by terrorists? We love our president, save us the nugu!
