THE last time we heard of Michael Matogo, the exuberant PR executive, he had just landed the hefty position of CEO at advertising firm Saatchi and Saatchi, Tanzania, after his stint as PR manager, QG Saatchi and Saatchi, Uganda.
THE last time we heard of Michael Matogo, the exuberant PR executive, he had just landed the hefty position of CEO at advertising firm Saatchi and Saatchi, Tanzania, after his stint as PR manager, QG Saatchi and Saatchi, Uganda.
We have learnt that he quit the firm, moved to Zanzibar, and partnered with the First family there in a new venture, his own advertising firm. Matogo now services some of the major telecom clients in Dar es Salaam. Snoops tell us Matogo’s agency recently won a lucrative and very competitive multi-million dollar deal to market Tanzania to the rest of the world.
The deal is similar to the Brand Uganda deal Gifted By Nature that Terp PR handled a few years ago. We are not privy to how much money is involved in the deal.
