Bodaboda cyclists in Bushenyi district on Thursday lynched a 30-year-old man suspected to have killed their colleague.

Godfrey Isingoma of Munyonyi village in Katerera sub-county allegedly killed Julius Nuwagaba, 22, on August 9. The cyclists also destroyed Isingoma’s banana plantation.

Another suspect, Adson Rukandama, 26, escaped the wrath of the rampaging cyclists and rushed to the Police station.

The district Police commander, Jimmy Oyuku said Isingoma and Rukandama reportedly hired Nuwagaba on August 9 to take them to Rukoma village.

On their way, the two allegedly murdered Nuwagaba and fled with his motorcycle.

“When the cyclists realised that their colleague was missing, they made investigations, which led them to Isingoma’s home, where they recovered Nuwagaba’s motorcycle,” Oyuku said.

He said he would help the Police to recover Nuwagaba’s body.
Rukandama said Isingoma stabbed the Nuwagaba as he was riding the motorcycle.
