UGANDA Amateur Boxing Clubs Association (UABCA) has launched boxing clinics to nurture budding talent at grassroot level.

UGANDA Amateur Boxing Clubs Association (UABCA) has launched boxing clinics to nurture budding talent at grassroot level.

UABCA is an umbrella body of boxing clubs challenging the legitimacy of the Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF).

The inaugural session that drew over 30 boxers was held at KCC grounds, with UABCA chairman Godfrey Nyakana conducting some of the sessions. The weekly clinics and will be held across the city.

“I am amazed. We have a lot of talent and it is our duty to see that such young talent is tapped for the good of boxing,” said Nyakana.

UABCA is also planning to hold a Novices championship this month.
