THERE are stories of quack veterinarians in the country. I am sure there are factors which are favour the operation of these quacks. The government should train more veterinary assistants and recruit at least two per sub- county.

The welfare of those formally employed with government and NGOs should be improved. They are underpaid and not properly facilitated professionally.
The veterinary Association should reorganise and identify itself with micro-service providers in their department. If nothing is done to improve veterinarians’ conditions of work, brain drain will not stop. activities of quacks.
