DRAMA ensued at a church in Kanyanya last week, when Christians and wellwishers gathered to fundraise for a church project.

Maama Fina, a renowned traditional healer in Ndeeba and chairperson of the Uganda Traditional Workers Association, contributed sh500,000 in cash.

Most of the contributors did not have cash, but made pledges. Some believers and clergy argued that they could not touch the money because it came from an unclean source.

However, one pastor gladly accepted the money arguing that they needed it “after all everything belongs to God”. A total of sh30m was collected.
