SIR — A person who never changes his or her mind is not wise! I therefore appeal to President Museveni to give up the idea of giving away part of Mabira Forest for sugarcane growing.
SIR — A person who never changes his or her mind is not wise! I therefore appeal to President Museveni to give up the idea of giving away part of Mabira Forest for sugarcane growing.
If he goes ahead and does so, he will have empowered his critics. He should prove that he is a democrat who can listen to the majority of Ugandans. Not all those against the Mabira giveaway are anti-government.
Mabira has now become an international issue! Admitting a mistake does not mean defeat. Even if it were, you can’t win all the time, can you? It is not a scientific law that Mehta’s sugarcane can only grow on Mabira land. I rest my case!
