politicians on both sides went ‘native’.

What makes me sick is that even sections of the media that claim ‘to fight for our rights’ started to be cynical. This is proof that everybody has an agenda. What has come out of all this is the glaring truth that because we all came from somewhere,
when ‘one of us’ is arrested, even when they are guilty, we become tribal. Therefore we are all corrupt and tribalistic.

My message to all the political parties is that they all stink and are a shame to the peoples of Africa. We need an overhaul of Ugandan politics.

SIR — There is rampant theft of public funds meant to cater for poor Ugandans. Therefore it beats my undersnding to see people come out openly and supporting suspects in whose hands billions of shillings got lost and in turn hundreds of Ugandans died for lack of medicines they badly needed. Although it would be my last wish to see somebody sent to prison, those implicated should take responsibility for they took over those public offices knowing very well the ethical standards expected of them.
