SOROTI Municipality mayor, Alfred Aruo, is a man of many talents but no one knew that match making was one of them. Well, that is more or less what he did at the recent introduction ceremony of Rodney Schuster, executive director of Micro Finance Limited in Africa, to his betrothed, Linda Malinga’s parents in Soroti.
Malinga is the Human Resource Manager at Micro Care, Uganda. Schuster, who hails from Los Angeles, California, USA, had realised that he was fighting a losing battle without a proficient spokesperson.
After searching for one such person almost in vain, Schuster enlisted the services Aruo. Aruo rose to occasion.
He successfully bargained for a reasonable bride price for Schuster: 10 head of cattle, 10 goats and an amount of money to be determined by Rodney’s pocket.
