UGANDA National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (UNCCI) president Olive Kigongo has said politicians should cease uttering negative statements about Uganda because this can affect the good business climate.

Kigongo (right) said this during a press conference at her office in Kampala.

She said the business community should understand where they came from because destruction is easy but construction is difficult.

Kigongo said, “The business community should avoid politicians who can cause destruction. We have been operating under a conducive atmosphere. Therefore, there is need to support the Government which is always listening to our cause.”

She said, “Production of goods and services has increased, while the average standard of living has improved rapidly.”
