Zimbabwe deports Mulondo

To say that former WBS news editor, Richard Mulondo, is a very vexed man, would be an understatement! Mulondo is seething because two weeks ago when he flew to Harare, Zimbabwe, he was tagged a persona non grata.

To say that former WBS news editor, Richard Mulondo, is a very vexed man, would be an understatement! Mulondo is seething because two weeks ago when he flew to Harare, Zimbabwe, he was tagged a persona non grata. With that label, he was bundled out and deported. In an E-mail to friends, he had this to say about his ordeal. ----- Original Message ----- From: mulondo richard To: **************************** Sent: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 7:52pm Subject: Re: [tendmc05-06] Re.concern en’ realiztion. Gwe, do you know what that son of a b**ch, Robert Mugabe, did to me? If you have a passport reading journalist as your profession DARE NOT. I repeat, dare not, ever try to go to Zimbabwe coz you will be escorted out of Harare by 10 mean-looking plain clothed soldiers/police. By the way, Zimbabwe immigration women are the meanest I have ever met. To cut the long story short, as a journalist I was deported... The guys dirtied my clean passport, but every one knows the mad b**ch.... I was a VIP at Harare airport as I was being escorted out of immigration through the gates to the tarmac onto Kenya Airways, which was taking off, but because journalists are NUMBER One ENEMIES OF His Excellency the Life President of Zimbabwe, I was shown the skies and out of Mugabe’s fiefdom or kingdom is it? Anyway, I am out of there and in Malawi where people are nice just like the Zambians.
