Redevelopment of the Old Taxi Park is awaiting a resolution on plots that were allocated to individuals, writes Mikaili Sseppuya.
John Ndyomugyenyi, the national chairman of Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA), said on Tuesday, “Our plans are ready but we are waiting for the final decision on the plots at the edge of the park, which were sold to developers. We were working closely with Kampala City Council and are waiting to hear from them.â€
Plans to develop the park have not been implemented for a long time.
