Kana ditches Merc for boda

The traffic in Kampala these days is getting so bad. some corporate executives, feeling rather squeezed in, are resorting to ‘unconventional’ methods. Early this week, Veluppilai Kananathan, the Apparel Tristar MD, did the unthinkable when he found himself caught up in an utterly motionless queue of vehicles in a bumper-to-bumper jam on Kimathi Avenue. Impatient, the edgy Kana alighted his Silver grey Merc, stopped a boda boda cyclist and leapt on it, leaving behind a bewildered chauffeur. They sped off to Hotel Equatoria where Kana had a meeting that evening. Wonder what his subordinates thought when the boss, whom they know to own an air-conditioned car, came in all sweaty.
