EDUCATION minister Namirembe Bitamazire has called for regular communication among the heads of different educational institutions and learners to avert the continued strikes in the country.

“Communication is an inevitable ingredient among education stakeholders and be on regular basis since it enables them (school heads) to find out the problems affecting the learners.

Above all it helps them to ensure social relations that are productive through creating an environment which favours harmony,” said Bitamazire.

She was speaking at the closing ceremony of management training for student’s representatives on the governing councils at Butabika School of psychiatric nursing, recently.

“On realising that leadership is a key issue in the education management and stability of institutions, the ministry decided to train student leaders in management as a proactive measure to avert strikes,” she said.
