Tomorrow is a public holiday to mark President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in for his third five-year term.
State minister for public service Patrick Okumu Ringa yesterday said, “Friday is a very important day in the history of our country. It is a public holiday to enable our people at all levels to concentrate on and celebrate the swearing-in of President Museveni.â€
“We want to ensure that our nationals and other people living or working in Uganda are informed in time so that they can get prepared,†Okumu said.
“Uganda is a land of holidays: about 12 holidays, literally a holiday per month, excluding weekends,†he said, laughing.
