Word from Makerere University's Faculty of Social Sciences is that several of the faculty computers were stolen over the weekend.
A staff was overheard explaining to students that the faculty’s lower and upper lecturer theatres had no power because of the theft.
The thieves reportedly cut the wiring system. A student said there were over a dozen computers, but were all taken.
Sources, however, say the theft may be the work of an insider as all doors to the building and the computer laboratory are locked every day.
