LAND title worth sh10m is up for grabs at the Nokia-Midcom Beauty Queen contest slated for Saturday, November 11 at the lower gardens of Hotel International in Muyenga. General entrance fee is sh7,000 and sh15,000 for the VIP seats. Gates open at 7:00pm.

The beauty pageant is organised by Hotel International and has Nokia-Midcom, Akright Projects, Quick Colour Print, and Ethiopian Airlines as main sponsors. Other sponsors include Club Champagne, La Bella cosmetics, GKK Group of companies, Red Pepper, Britania, Kabindi Fashions and Sakina Boutique.

Twenty girls have entered the competition that will see the lucky winner walk away with a land title, courtesy of Akright Projects. The first and second runners up will get a brand new TV set and a new mobile phone, courtesy of Nokia Midcom.
But apart from the Nokia-Midcom Beauty Queen title, there will also be other titles to be won such as Miss Hotel International, Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Miss Talent and Miss Evening Gown. The winners of these titles will be given sashes and prizes from different sponsoring companies including La Bella, Cub Champagne and Britania.

According to Ricahrd Sebadduka, the event manager, the contestants will also walk away with different gift hampers from different sponsors.

The Combat dancers, Bobi Wine, Buchaman and Desire Luzinda will light up the show with some performances.
