Why blame homosexuals?

SIR— I am touched by one thing about the Vagina Monologues debate.

SIR— I am touched by one thing about the Vagina Monologues debate.

The play is said to “promote homosexuality” and that is why it was
banned. I am gay, and I feel offended to be blamed for what is clearly not my problem.

The play expresses the pain of over 3,000 women on sexual violence. The lines that are said to offend are just a part of the whole picture. Yet they were the basis for banning the play.

Why are we selective? We can extend the Media Council’s logic a bit further. Let’s also ban Shakespeare for some of his sonnets and Madonna and Britney Spears for lesbian love.
