HERE is a sample of foods everyone should eat everyday. And the joy is you can eat as much as you want. Known as The Abundant Food List, you will not become overweight, says Dr Gillian. If you eat these foods on a regular basis, you will be doing a big service to your body, strength, mood and health.

Fruits and leafy green vegetables: Dates, grapefruit, lemons, limes, passion fruit, pineapples, strawberries, tangerines, apples, apricots, blackberries, cherries, grapes, guavas, leeches, mangos, mulberries, papayas, peach, pear, all dried fruit, bananas, figs, watermelon, lettuce, turnips, parsley and spinach.

Raw nuts: Almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, chestnuts, pecans, Pine nuts, pistachios and walnuts.

Seeds: Pumpkin, sesame, sunflower

Vegetables: , asparagus, aubergine (biringanya), avocado, beets, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celeriac, green peas, okra (bamia) and onions.

Grains: Barley, basmati rice, brown rice, millet and wheat

Flours: Oats, potato, soy and sunflower.

Beans: lentils and soy beans

Fresh herbs: Cloves, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, ginger, rosemary and cardamom.

Herbal teas: Camomile, dandelion, fennel, ginger, ginseng, lemon balm, nettle, peppermint, red raspberry and slippery elm.

Dr Gillian also recommends plenty of fresh fish in your daily diet.
